The SuperLysine+® ColdStick is a convenient for quick, soothing care throughout the day. The petroleum-free ColdStick formulation is a variation on our Super Lysine+® ointment including:

  • L-Lysine – An essential amino acid that suppresses the activity of arginine.
  • Calendula – Soothing botanical historically used to calm dry skin.
  • Intensive Moisturizing Oils – Safflower, castor seed, jojoba, and vitamin E.
  • Octinoxate & Oxybenzone – OTC sunscreen ingredients, which protect lips from the sun.

I only use Lysine products for my coldsticks & blister treatments because it's the only thing that's effective for me. This particular coldstick is nice to hook on my keychain, so I always have it with me; so I can use it at the first sign of a blister tingle. I'm a female that doesn't like carrying bags or purses, so the keychain hole is super convenient for me, and it ensures that I never lose my coldstick and it's always where I need it to be.

I LOVE this stuff. It goes on really nicely and has a smooth glossy finish (kind of mimicked lip gloss) so for me it is great. I love that my lips are protected from the sun, and will continue to purchase often! Highly recommend

The SuperLysine+ Coldstick is an SPF 21 sunscreen, so it protects your lips from the sun, which is a common cold sore trigger. It also contains Lysine and many of the other ingredients found in our top selling cold sore forumula, SuperLysine+ Cold Sore Treatment.

What does lysine do?

Lysine is particularly important for the proper growth and development of tissues and the production of collagen, which is crucial for healthy skin, tendons, and cartilage. It also supports the absorption of calcium, helps in the formation of muscle protein, aids in the recovery from surgery or sports injuries, and has been shown to help manage and prevent cold sores by inhibiting the herpes simplex virus.
